  1. Have you ever had to distinguish between, a Qx55, and Q55x?
I’m guessingthe chaos will last a model year or two tops before dealership SSI scores drop and a “newer” resolution is unveiled!

Trust me, there a significant difference from the Fx, Ex confusions, that the former. Have a great day!

  2. Well, I own a infiniti and owned few of them in the past and never confused before and I don’t think I will be in the future…yes, some people can be dumb

  3. It was also common for infiniti clients to get confused with the G37 calling them the Gx model because of other makes similarities. Bring the M and the new Q55 will be very simular in size, it will further cause issues especially if they start looking close in shape. People are dumb, not like knowing they look dumb, especially to a dealership, and its personnel. Hope that clears up the confusion.

    Have a great day!

  4. Well toots, your opening statement sums it up followed by you haven’t a clue to what I was talking about.

Saturn had the SL, SL1, SL2
    THEN…..
They introduced the Ls, Ls1, Ls2 models.

It created confusion, much like your assertions and assumptions have done for you. People weren’t able to remember without error of what they were looking at or wanted.

  5. What the hell are you talking about??? Saturn??? Saturn was a piece junk, there was no confusions there, everybody knew GM has created a totally wortless brand and that is why the brand is dead now!

  6. Pssst, Infiniti, please take note, Saturn made the same blunders you are now doing. If you forget where your success came from, and why you had clients you will lose all that you had earned.

Naming your products with letters that will create confusion will lead to poor customer satisfaction simply because you will confuse them.

Confused buyers say stupid things, and people making the income it takes to purchase your products don’t want to look stupid in anyones eyes. Big big mistake.

  7. Nothing wrong with building around tech. When I bought my M35 in 2006 there was no other car like it from a technological standpoint. Amazing Navigation, 14 Speaker 5.1 Bose Audio, LDW, Adaptive headlights, etc.

This car to me looks quite a lot like the current G. Look at the current G from the side and look at this from the side, the side angle is nearly identical the difference is this car has borrowed cues from the Infiniti Essence concept. You can see in the headlights and tails as well.

  8. Of course brands need to “evolve and change” I agree but what Nissan/Infiniti is giving us not what they set out to be from the beginning. Start with a simple line and build a car around it. Now they’ve started with the technological center console “glitz” and built a car around that.
This car looks like a Volvo from the side, a Lexus from the front and a Hyundai from the rear.
The G37 looks like no other car on the road, it holds its own. You can’t say that about the Q50.

  9. I own an M35 and disagree completely.

Brands need to evolve and change. While I haven’t been completely convinced of what they have done, the JX has been a smashing hit for the brand and they seem to understand what consumers want. I have no doubt this will be every bit as good as the competition. Have you seen the IS? Horrible.

  10. The new naming scheme is absolutely retarded. All new Infiniti cars will be Qxx. Whoever came up with that idea is clearly an idiot.

    Current models are clear:
    MODEL-ENGINE-DRIVE
    G37X = G model – 3.7L – AWD

Also, compared to all these overdesigned, bloated ugly monsters, my 06 G35X looks like a princess. All Inifniti designs after 06 were awful.

  11. Not even CIRQUE DU SOLEIL could make the car “inspired”.
This car is all about the technology “glitz” and not about the heritage of the simple line.
Gone is the signature clock, gone is the individual clean appearance.
It looks like a Volvo/Hyundai/Lexus mash up.
Did you notice how the car never spun around so you can see every angle and was poorly lit up.
If I were proud of my product, I would show you every angle and lighting would be key.
Not an “oooh” or “ahhh” was uttered at the unvailing.

  12. i was expecting a newer and stronger 3.7 V6 but the sound of a turbo 4cylinder is not bad.

  13. The dashboard and the back look like Hyundai Sonata! What a shame! I was really looking forward to this car. I might still test drive it. But I’m disappointed.

  14. this guy trolls every car….i bet he drives a 2001 civic for his daily commute.

  15. LOL after all the money Nissan has put into advertising and making some great cars like the G series, people are STILL spelling the brand’s name wrong. It’s I-N-F-I-N-I-T-I no “Y”

  16. But he’s actually informational and intends on reviewing the stuff. That’s nothing like the Jeremy Clarkson of now.

  17. this is sad they dont have the model name right and they cant even spell inifinti how the fuck are they making reviews…

  18. yup, Infiniti is the best when it comes to technology in a vehicle. Their vehicles are so technologically advance.

  19. I think the interior on the JX35 is gorgeous but I would rather have the Audi Q7 because I believe Audi is the highest standard for luxury cars IMO. I believe that Infiniti is number 4 just behind BMW and Lexus, but that’s just my opinion and not a fact.

  20. when you fully equip this thing it comes out about the same as an Audi Q7 3.0 or Mercedes ML350 or similar equipments

  21. not really, backup collision intervention is a world first, and that means nobody besides infiniti got it.

  22. The funny thing is CNETTV spelled Infinity right, but the Japanese automaker spelled it wrong.. A little Engrish funny for ya

  23. $41,400 is only the base price but to get this baby fully equipped you would have to pay well over 50 grand, now I know that’s actually a decent price but in this economy that’s not cheap.

  24. Wow they misspelled Infiniti in the video as well at 4:07, they didn’t even bother correcting the video title which should read “2013 Infiniti JX35″ even after half the people here said it was wrong come on CNET the video review was excellent as always but the person who types out the video titles knows nothing about cars.

  25. That car is cheap.. even after it converted to my country’s money. It will become expensive once it come to my country. How lucky americans are having cheap cars.

  26. Uh this is the JX, the J was a sedan in the 90s.

Infiniti’s have become the most garrishly ugly cars, hideous and loud.
